Mattsson Nielsen is a company with one simple goal – bringing restaurant quality meals to Danish households. With the expansion of their company and their products, they wanted to offer their customers a whole new redesigned and improved webshop. I was working with them during my time at Budtz Innovation as a lead and sole developer on the project, taking over the research, communication, design and implementation.

SOLUTION
Since their Woocommerce webshop had a lot of usability issues (confusing checkout process, lack of CTAs and overall complex way of handling it in the backend because of great amount of plugins to support functionalities), we decided that going with a simpler, out-of-the-box widespread platform like Shopify would make sense.

This was my first client project with Shopify, so I spent a lot of time learning Liquid and how to work with the platform and transfer properly the content from Woocommerce into Shopify. By combining my knowledge of Liquid and pre-made modules from Shopify, I completely redesigned the webshop from previous one. I also chose the new main color that reflected their product branding better, compared to the default black they used on their site before.
